Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974 Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically-acclaimed depictions of charming and adorable characters. Adams was raised in Italy as her father worked in the U.S. military and she lived in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. The actress began acting and dancing professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and then at the Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she joined the regional theater located in Minnesota which was where she got her first role as a character in a film mock documentary on beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Her move to Los Angeles after making her debut in the screen with a good-natured but naive contestant. Her husband was the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh, discovered via actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a agreement with MGM to start her career as a film actor at the end of her 1940s. The next decade saw Leigh appeared in a number of popular films such as Alfred Hitchcock Psycho (1960) or Living It Up (a Martin Lewis film that was released in 1954).
