Amanda Seales formerly Amanda Diva (born in Los Angeles California on July 1st in 1981) is a comedian and DJ. In Orlando from the age of eight years old, Amanda Seales was a student at Dr. Phillips High School. When she completed her undergraduate degree at SUNY Purchase, she earned an advanced master's degree in African American and hip-hop studies from Columbia University. In 1994, she began her career in her first Nickelodeon comedy My Brother and Me as Deonne. She later became known for being the VJ Amanda Diva and the face of MTV2 Sucker Free Sundays. It was a while that she worked as a spoken word poet and recording artist. In 2011, she returned to television and also added stand-up comedy to her credits. She is CEO of DivaWorks Inc her production company where she is a stand-up comedian and creates smart, funny material on the screen and stage.
