Jenna Fischer's best-known role was that of Pam Beesly from the popular television series The Office. In recognition of her work, she was awarded an Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won two SAG Awards.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna observed as her mom Anne performed in church plays. Her love for performance and theater began as a young girl.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her home base. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the show Reasons to be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. After starring in Steve Martin's most recent show Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy co-written by Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she performed in the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf in the month of October. The show has been an enormous success, making the Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads in its first two-years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's also the author of The Actor's Life An Actor's Survival Guide (coauthored with Angela Kinsey) The book tells her journey between St. Louis to Hollywood and becoming a working actress is outlined.
